Simple, High-Fat/Low-Carb Delicious Snack

Hang on.

Do all those words (in the title) actually go together? Yes, my friend. In this case, yes they do!

This little snack (or meal replacement) has become one of my favorite go-to’s when I’m in a bit of a hurry, or I’m feeling the need for some rich sweetness without blowing the high fat, low carb lifestyle.

Sorry for the lack of precise measurements in the “recipe”, but that’s kind of how I roll. A little of this, a dash of that, a sprinkle here, a handful there…

Ingredients:

2 tbsp almond butter (or peanut butter)

2 tbsp organic cream cheese

approx. 1/2 cup organic full-fat coconut mild (canned)

approx. 2 tbsp It Works Chocolate SHAKE (for truly amazeballs flavor!)

approx. 1/4 cup organic unsweetened coconut flakes

approx. 5 or 6 walnut halves, crushed

approx. 1/4 – 1/3 packet of KETO Coffee (the Secret Sauce that makes the magic happen!)

Then, mix it all up in a bowl. Simple.

Here are a couple brands I really like…

As best I can calculate, THIS particular combination of ingredients results in approximately 40 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbs, and 15 grams of protein. Not too shabby for someone who can’t stand counting macros or calories… and just 5 minutes of prep time. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty close to a “ketogenic” breakdown.

I had this as my first meal of the day around lunch time and it kept me feeling satiated and energetic until dinner. Intermittent fasting never tasted so good! (Don’t worry, I ate my veggies at dinner.)

On days I’m feeling particularly feisty (and feel like doing a little carb loading), I might also add some organic dark chocolate chips to the mix and then hide from my children so they don’t eat it all!

What are some of YOUR favorite go-to snacks that don’t blow the budget with your healthy diet? Please share! I’d love to hear!
